The UK doesn't have strong gun culture but from my knowledge (from living here) most people buy FPSs as their main genre. Others sell well too but FPSs stand out.
It's a competely different type of game to motorstorm. However i think it definately looks better, that comment cannot possibly be offensive as DIRT's coming out on both platforms.
It's really starting to pull together now. The lighting is very good along with the particle effects. The water on the cobbled street looked very nice indeed.
I've just realised why have i only got 4 bubbles? When have i ever been offensive to anybody? Sounds like gangs of fanboys who didn't agree with one of my opinions...
It's certainly looking impressive. The chances are that i won't buy it (i'll probably never get round to it), however that might change later on release.
Dang i'm always about to post something when i find that it has turned up 20 mins ago. I added an alternate source for the info for you.
How is it cheating may i ask? The ways i saw were perfectly legit, just using the scape to ones advantage. It's just what happens in real life. If however their flying around like superman without any normal means then yes it should be ironed out.
None of that seemed unfair to me. If i were in a game with poeple scaling those buildings in that manner i wouldn't complain; it not as if there's an advantage to them. On the other hand modded files should be prevented.
Well it is what the Beta was for, don't complain if it's a buggy experience.
Hmm was that 3d grass i saw? The lighting in this is incedible. I just don't understand why everybody things that it looks like H2, there's a huge gap IMO. I guess after you start to make your own CG you really start to understand how much effort can be put into a game. It's easier to use heavy geometry and textures (like GoW) than have excellent lighting, trust me on that one. If you don't believe me just go and download Blender and try to make reallistic lighting as it's difficult (the...
For a movie tie-in i'm quite impressed. The actual geometry isn't bad and the water (quite rightly so) is very nice and wet. For once it's easy to recognise the features of the main characters, it also doesn't look muddy (to see my point just look at Harry Potter).
Looks a bit dull to me. Activision just negate releasing one year and put that time towards making a truly great game. Surely the environments can look a lot better than this?
I have to admit that the graphics didn't impress me in the demo either. However the gameplay made up for it so easily. I don't care about the graphics any longer, just give me the game. (And just to keep up with the Jones's i played it on a 50" HD Lg Plasma ;) )
There are two packages you know.
repeat but thanks for the HD footage instead
Well that's against Microsofts DLC policy so no deal.
100 Gamerpoints = Free
Other cool stuff = 800 points
They said so in a previous interview as well.
precisely, a movie tie-in should really not be related to the movie (release wise) at all. If the devs took their time and used the movie concepts then many of the games could have been far far better than they turned out to be *sigh*
It's nice to know that this game is looking abysmal...
why not just cut a hole or something in a top jacket pocket or something and use a phone with a decent video, or better one of those pinhole cameras which you can buy on the internet for under £80? Surely it would be worth doing that oppose to this rubbish, it would probably be easier too.
Hmm, this comparison isn't nearly as obvious as the previous one. At points even the DX9 looked better (prefer the glare on the first pic). Seems like we'll have to wait until the big DX10 guns arrive.
